We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Flagler team as Relationship Assistant, playing a pivotal role on our loan team as a partner to the Relationship Managers and the hub of customer engagement.

Your Mission? 

A focus on assisting our customers in getting from loan application to loan closing as smoothly as possible. 

You will serve as a strategic partner to our Relationship Manager and act as a primary point of contact for our valued customers. A typical day will involve a diverse range of tasks - gathering documents from customers; coordinating meetings, closings and inspections; driving the turn-around time of loan production and ensuring accuracy of loan files; answering customer questions or setting up conversations with the appropriate persons, and generally making sure customers are well understood, well informed and well taken care of.

  • Experience
    • Prior customer-facing experience is beneficial but not required
  • Qualifications
    • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Essential Skills
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
    • Organizational and accuracy skills
    • Confidence in communicating effectively with customers and team members
    • Self-managed and proactive
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Desirable Knowledge
    • Understanding of the agriculture community and terminology
    • Understanding of the local community

Responsibilities of the position…

  • Key Accountabilities
    • Provide exceptional customer service and proactive, direct communication with customers and prospects as a primary point of contact with customers on routine administration of the relationship.
    • Drive the internal process to collaborate with the Relationship Managers and Credit Administration team on loan documentation and loan closings.
    • Drive the turn-around time of loan production by collecting the necessary information for risk assessments and underwriting - includes recognizing loan structures and initiating third party reports, and nCino flow.
    • Support Relationship Manager on portfolio management; minimizing loan exceptions, past due loan balances, and updating loan portfolios with current loan information.
    • Follow up after closings to ensure loan file accuracy.
    • Drive weekly loan team update meetings as well as schedule and organize other meetings, closings, and inspections
    • Process loan payments
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Support the Relationship Managers as needed
    • Be adaptable and take on tasks as necessary
    • Participation in bank sponsored community events is encouraged as a part of our High Plains Bank culture

Target compensation range

  • $22.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications - other factors may be considered

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Location and Schedule

  • In person at our Flagler, CO branch
  • 8-5 Monday - Friday
