We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader with a passion for operational excellence as Director of Operations Support working from any of our Eastern or Northern Colorado locations.

The Day-to-Day

Your days will be filled with opportunities to lead, collaborate, and make a difference. You'll start your mornings with a team huddle, reviewing priorities and addressing any urgent issues. You'll monitor performance dashboards, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement. You'll guide your team in resolving escalated customer issues, collaborating with other departments to find effective solutions. You'll dedicate time to process improvement projects, researching new technologies, and meeting with vendors. You'll also participate in strategic meetings with stakeholders, ensuring that operations are aligned with the bank's overall direction. Throughout the day, you'll be a responsive and supportive leader, communicating effectively with your team and other departments.

What You Bring to High Plains Bank

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with continuing banking education.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within a financial institution or similar environment.
  • Track record of successfully managing and developing a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and optimization.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of banking operations, products, and services.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in technology and data analysis.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with automation technologies and their application in banking.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles.
  • Understanding of digital banking trends and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities of the Position:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Operations Support team.
  • Champion process automation and optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee the resolution of escalated customer issues.
  • Manage operational risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor performance, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new products and services.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Represent the Operations Support team in cross-functional initiatives.

Target compensation range

  • $65,000 - $95,000 per year based on experience and qualifications - other factors may be considered

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Location and Schedule

  • In person at one of our 5 Colorado locations
  • 8-5 Monday - Friday
